It’s Sunday! I love Sundays! I’ve been able to take the time to unwind on Saturday, so Sunday is a more relaxed day for me. Plus, Sunday nights is “The Walking Dead” nights. I love that show! And for those who have never seen an episode … it’s not about the zombies. It’s about the world when there is no more manufacturing, farming, technology, law and order or any of the things we take for granted. It definitely makes me appreciate (makes me thankful for) all I have, and all that is available to our world.

Sundays used to be bittersweet for me, because the next day meant back to the grind for another week. But now I actually work from home on Mondays, so there’s nothing taking away from the enjoyment of Sundays!

Today, I am thankful that I made it to boxing class. I’m a bit sore from yesterday’s class, and the best thing to do when you’re sore is to work through it! It was a good class. And I was hitting that heavy bag hard! The soreness shall continue!

I’m also thankful that my dog, Anoush, was able to walk all the way back from my sister’s apartment to my place, with a spring in her step! She’s a senior now (14 years old) and she doesn’t really walk as far or as well as she used to. So for her to be able to make it the entire way under her own power is fanstastic. I had the wheeling backpack that I bring with me, for when she loses steam. But she had no need for it today!

I’m thankful for the cuddles from my Maine Coon mix kitty, Pepé, while I was reading the Times this morning. He’s a HUGE boy (20 pounds) but that just means he’s the biggest cuddle bug! He comes up me, talks to me, cuddles in next to me, and purrs so loudly, that it vibrates right into my heart!

And, as always, I am thankful for my family, and my close friends who are like family!

What are you thankful for today?
